Intel Prepares Z890 Motherboard Chipset for Arrow Lake-S and Raptor Lake Refresh

According to information from Lansheng Technology on July 11, Intel plans to launch the Raptor Lake-S Refresh K processor in October this year; the non-K model processor will be launched in the first week of 2024; the Intel Arrow Lake-S will be launched at the end of 2024/early 2025 S-processor.

The latest news is that Intel has started developing three 800-series chipsets with LGA 1851 sockets for Arrow Lake-S and Raptor Lake Refresh.

Among them, Z890, B860 and H810 will be launched for desktops; W880 and Q870 chipsets will be launched for workstations. Although the H870 chipset is not included in the current list, it will follow the previous trend and may appear in future versions.

There isn't much information available about Intel's 800-series chipsets, which offer up to 60 HSIO (High Speed Input/Output) channels, including 24 CPUs and 34 PCHs.

The B860 and H810 platforms provide 44 and 32 HSIO channels respectively. These chipsets will essentially support DDR-5-6400 modules up to 48GB and ensure compatibility with WiFi 7 and 5GbE
