TI: Analog chip revenue plummets, only automotive chips grow

#TI's recently announced Q1 financial report for 2023 is not optimistic. Q1 revenue, operating profit, and net profit all declined year-on-year compared with the same period last year. The revenue of its flagship business, analog chips, fell by 14%, and embedded processors increased by 6.4%. Other revenue fell 16%, with only the automotive segment growing.

ST: The demand for car specifications is still the mainstream

#ST's current order backlog coverage in the automotive, electric energy and professional B2B industrial sectors is higher than six quarters, and orders in hand will not be shipped until 2024, and new orders tend to be normal. The demand for computer-related equipment/personal electronic equipment continued to be weak, and the inventory was being corrected. The backlog and new orders decreased. The company's inventory turnover days in the first quarter of 2023 were 122 days, mainly related to the surplus of personal electronic products and consumer goods. The company's consumption field in the second half of the year May face the problem of empty fab.

NXP: Overall demand declines, automotive chip revenue soars

#NXP's performance in the first quarter exceeded expectations. #Automotive chip revenue increased by 17% year-on-year, and its share of total revenue rose from 54.5% in the fourth quarter of 2022 to 58.6%; Revenue from communication infrastructure and other products increased slightly. Continued growth in the automotive business compensated for declines in other businesses.
