How to View the existing WiFi password?

If you want to see your active WiFi password then do read this article because here you'll learn a few easy steps to access the existing Wifi password.

How to View the existing WiFi password?

Wi-Fi is commonly used to link to a variety of networks at various times and locations. Wi-Fi is utilized everywhere, whether it's in a coffee shop, a free Wi-Fi hotspot, an office wireless network, or a home network. Multiple Wi-Fi network settings, such as the network security key, can be remembered in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

With the passage of time, remembering or even saving passwords for all Wi-Fi networks that you have previously added and saved gets more complex. If you've lost your Wi-Fi password, instead of relying on sysadmins, technicians, or other methods, Windows provides several options for accessing saved Wi-Fi passwords.

Follow the steps below to view the existing WiFi Password:

  • Step 1. To access the Network and Sharing Center, navigate to Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center.
  • Step 2. Select Activate WiFi Connection from the drop-down menu and tap on Wireless Properties to access WiFi network properties.
  • Step 3. After that head to the Security tab and click Show characters to see the existing WiFi password.

However, Let me tell you that only active connections are backed by this approach. This signifies that if you aren't linked to an active WiFi network, you won't be allowed to view the network security key or password using this approach.
